Paul's Iron Works is the life's work of Paul Mandes, a craftsman who grew up around steel, fire, and hard work. As a teenager, Paul began learning the trade hands-on - repairing fences, hanging gates, and helping on small welding jobs in the San Gabriel Valley. Over time he moved from basic repairs into custom ironwork and architectural railings, developing an eye for detail and a reputation for work that both looks beautiful and lasts.

In 1985, Paul founded Paul's Iron Works and began serving homeowners, HOAs, and businesses across the San Gabriel Valley and nearby communities. What started as a small, word-of-mouth operation grew into a trusted name for residential gates and fences, commercial security projects, and custom railings for staircases, balconies, and entryways.

Today, Paul's Iron Works centers on three pillars: custom fabrication and installation (fences, gates, railings, and ornamental ironwork), gate automation and access control (operators, intercoms, keypads, smartphone access, and safety devices), and repair, upgrades, and maintenance - including UL 325 safety compliance and preventive care. Every project is built to customer specifications, combining functionality with a clean, modern or classic design, and treated as if it were for Paul's own home: proper preparation, solid welds, quality materials, and finishes built for real weather and daily use.
